Year 11 & 12 Writers

While the themes were often bleak in this year’s entries, they covered a range of contemporary issues and there was some excellent imaginative writing across a range of narrative contexts. The judges were challenged to decide on the winners and so a new finalist category was introduced to acknowledge the high quality of the students’ writing. The awarded entries displayed tighter control of narrative and were more complete as short stories.
